Detroit Up North: Upper Peninsula

Detroit Up North is BACK. The decade long party returns after a two year hiatus. This is an exciting opportunity for Michigan entrepreneurs, creatives, movers, and shakers and this year we’re heading up UP north, all the way to central UP!

Detroit Up North: Upper Peninsula is a long weekend getaway and an opportunity to connect and explore as we wrap up Michigan summer in a picturesque venue. Attendees have the option to tent camp or stay in a cabin at Interlaken Resort, located on Big Manistique Lake. Tickets include three nights of lodging, community meals, live music and entertainment, cocktail hours, kayak use, group activities, morning yoga and coffee, and so much more. If you were a summer camp kid, this weekend was made for you.

The trip allows us to get out of our daily routines and connect with people from both Upper and Lower Peninsulas. Together, we are excited to bring our communities of makers, creatives and entrepreneurs to share the things we love most about both Peninsulas. This is a chance for our two very different communities to find common ground, learn about our state’s diverse offerings, and enjoy the best of Michigan!

What does 2022 look like?

We are partnering with Interlaken Resort in McMillan, MI. The resort sits on Big Manistique Lake, one of the largest inland lakes Michigan has to offer. Interlaken is a family owned and operated business, with strong connections to Detroit and southeast Michigan.

Detroit Up North will provide programming, both on and off site, as well as plenty of free time for attendees to plan day trips or excursions.  Included in the weekend admission, attendees will enjoy plenty of social events, live music, 2-3 community meals, cocktail hours, swag bags, and more.
